Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine officially opened SINERGY 2017 (Serbian Conference on Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging) organized by the Clinical Centre of Serbia, with the participation of eminent experts from all over the world, “The East meets the West in Serbia”, at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade.

Crown Princess Katherine was accompanied by Mrs. Natasa Davidov, member of the board of Lifeline United Kingdom Humanitarian Organization whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The program of the Conference was designed in cooperation with the European Association for Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and the European Association for Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), with the participation of 40 distinguished lecturers from Europe, India, China and Japan, as well as more than 30 experts from our country.

“I am glad that this conference is organized in cooperation with several health institutions in Belgrade that work in the field of interventional cardiology and imaging. I am also very glad that you cooperate with top cardiology centers in the world and that you have a large number of foreign experts as your guests at this conference. My foundation works hard on bringing aid to health institutions and on education of physicians in Serbia. I would like to announce that at the end of September we expect the donation of four hospital sterilizers, in the total value of 1.5 million American Dollars. These sterilizers will be donated to hospitals in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Kraljevo, and they were provided thanks to the great assistance of the C.U.R.E. project foundation from United States of America. Recently we also have donated the mamography worth 300,000 US Dollars to the Clinical center Nis. My husband HRH Crown Prince Alexander and I will continue to support our health institutions as much as we can”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The Conference’s aim is to promote the importance of education and international cooperation, and the complex cardiac procedures will be transmitted live from the Clinical Centre of Serbia for the congressional auditorium.
