Royal Family at Lifeline New York Charity Reception

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Prince Peter, Prince Alexander and grandchildren of The Royal Couple Ms. Amanda Garfinkel and Mr. Nicholas Garfinkel attended a charity reception in New York in aid of Lifeline New York Humanitarian Organisation whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
The special guests were His Excellency Mr. Vuk Jeremic President of The United Nations General Assembly and his wife Mrs. Natasa Jeremic, the Serbian Ambassador to the United Nations Mr Feodor Starcevic. Also present were the members of the Lifeline New York Board: Mr. David Hryck the Board President, Mrs. Cherry Kaufman, Mrs. Susan Gutfreund, Mr. Khashy Eyn and Mrs. Robin Dolch.
The event was organised with the help of Morgan Stanley that has since its founding in 1935 helped redefine the meaning of financial services and has continually broken new ground in advising their clients on strategic transactions, in pioneering the global expansion of finance and capital markets, and in providing new opportunities for individual and institutional investors as well as recognizing the importance of good governance and corporate social responsibility.
Lifeline New York works with the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, which was established in Belgrade in 2001, to improve the health and welfare of all those in need in Serbia regardless of religion or ethnic origin. Over the years, Lifeline has provided items such as neonatal ultrasound machines, mobile mammography unit, radiology training of medical staff, hospital beds with mattresses for children’s wards, devices for children with impaired hearing and computers for orphans.

LIFELINE NEW YORK CHARITY EVENT AT LE CIRQUE
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG GIFT CERTIFICATE, NOVAK DJOKOVIC’S SIGNED TENNIS RACQUET AND MANY OTHER AMAZING ITEMS BID AT THE SILENT AUCTION
New York, 12 October 2012 – Lifeline New York Charity Organization, under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, organized a traditional charity lunch at the Le Cirque restaurant in New York in aid of equipping the sensory room for children with autism in Serbian city of Pirot. During this humanitarian event, over forty thousand US dollars have been raised.
Besides Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, President of the General Assembly of the United Nations, HE. Mr. Vuk Jeremic and Mrs. Natasa Jeremic, and Mrs Ban Soon-taek, wife of United Nations Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, also attended the event.
The charity lunch was held in aid of children with disabilities in Serbia. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine long struggle to help Serbia’s people and children to have more dignified lives, medical treatment and opportunities to advance in education was presented at the charity lunch at Le Cirque restaurant. Lifeline New York’s Benefit Committee Chairperson Mr. David M. Hryck on behalf of the Benefit Committee Co-Chairpersons Mrs. Muna Rihani Al-Nasser, Mrs. Susan Gutfreund, Committee Members Mrs. Elizabeth Kabler, Cheri Kaufman and Joan Standish shared beliefs and love for Serbia.
The Autism speaks foundation representatives special guest speakers at the Lifeline NY event Mrs. Liz Feld, President of Autism Speaks and Mr. Andy Shih - Senior VP, Scientific Affairs at Autism Speaks talked of having new perspectives on autism and finding ways to better understand it as a special condition that often prohibits genius of the children that suffer from it to surface but if we learn to see it we will be enriched with knowledge that it is there. Mr. Amir Dossal, Founder and Chairman of the Global Partnerships Forum, an international platform to address economic and social challenges, through innovative partnerships also addressed at the event.
Guests had the opportunity to bid over the amazing items presented at the silent auction: Diane von Furstenberg gift certificate, "Divna“ photograph by Marta Jovanovic, White evening dress by Serbian designer Mihano Mimosa was presented by famous Serbian model Ivana Kukric, Grecian and Black Evening Gowns by Manda Javorina, a replica of the White Angel Fresco by Daniela Crkvenjakov, La Garsia gloves, Ladu Head piece by Natasa Filipovic, Handmade Jewellery by Urijell, Silk ties by Tincati, Silk Scarf and glovelette Eileen Fischer and amazing three day trip. World TOP Tennis Player Novak Djokovic kindly donated a signed tennis racquet which will be auctioned on line.
